Didier Drogba joins the IronUp! Program as a new ambassador in Africa!

Danone is proud to announce a new partnership with Didier Drogba, who joins us in the fight against childhood Iron Deficiency Anemia—one of the most widespread and preventable health challenges in Africa.

This partnership builds on Danone’s long-standing commitment to bringing health through food to families across Africa at every stage of life, as well as our shared belief in the power of sport to drive health, inspiration, and social progress.

As one of the continent’s most respected sporting figures and a long-time advocate for health and development, Didier Drogba brings a powerful and authentic voice that resonates with families and communities across Africa.

In his words, “In Africa, Iron Deficiency Anemia affects millions of children and directly hinders their development. It is a cause that I deeply care about. I am proud to stand alongside Danone, with brands such as Nursie Family and Phosphatine®, to raise awareness and take concrete action. Because every child deserves the means to fully reach their potential.”

Through his involvement in Iron Up!, Danone aims to strengthen awareness at scale, encourage positive behaviour change, and highlight the importance of tailored, iron-rich nutrition. Alongside solutions such as Phosphatine® with its Ferbiotik blend, we remain committed to helping every child grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

In this video, sit down with Didier Drogba and hear him speak on the importance of nutrition and iron in childhood development. If you are an English-speaking viewer, please follow along with a translation here.
